Matarromera wines have defined the style of one of Spain’s most prized wine regions, Ribera del Duero. Matarromera Reserva 2017 is a Tempranillo monovarietal made with vines over 25 years old in limestone soils, which give grapes with a high concentration of color and polyphenols, ideal for long-aged wines such as this Reserva, aged 14 months in barrels and 22 months more in the bottle.

The fruits come from two vineyards at more than 750 m altitude located in Olivares de Duero (Valladolid): Las Celadillas, very close to the winery and planted with traditional Tempranillo clones of the area; and Las Solanas, the mythical payment of Matarromera. It is born from a harvest, 2017, of moderate production, with magnificent aromatic ripening, good freshness, and extraordinary quality of the grape.
