Uji (宇治) is a small city on the southern outskirts of Kyoto, where it’s most famous for its cultural heritage and of course – green tea. Of all the green tea produced in Japan, Uji green tea (宇治茶) is arguably considered to be the finest. Uji region’s high-quality soil, optimal terrain, and temperatures have all contributed to what many call the most excellent green tea in the world.

Tasting Notes
The perfect combination of tea and plum wine, slightly drunk and refreshing. The slightly sour and slightly sweet plum flavor Uji tea aroma is at the back end, with a mellow tea tail note, giving a very fresh feeling. Uji tea is produced in the Uji area, so it is named Uji tea. Tea produced in various parts of Japan and sent to Uji for evaluation can be called Uji tea. Uji tea is also the place where Japanese tea originated, and it is very representative.
