Eguren Ugarte Martin Cendoya Reserva

TASTING NOTE

Ruby, violet edging color. On the nose, it has ripe black fruit (blackberry, plum…), eucalyptus, vanilla, spices, toast, chocolate, and mineral notes. Bulky, warm, silky, ripe tannins give body and great structure, pleasant to drink, and the mineral notes make it peculiar, long and persistent aftertaste.

Decanting: Recommended for at least 30 minutes to 1 hour.

80% Tempranillo — from “El Monte” vineyard, Labastida, planted in 1975, old hillside vineyard. Type of soil: sandy loam and limestone. Old vineyard on the hillside. 20% Graciano – Finca ̈Alto del Rey ̈, planted in 1975. Type of soil: gravel and sand. Vintage details: Excellent vintage, with a harvest delayed by the cold, excellent maturation.
