Haselgrove First Cut Cabernet Sauvignon

TASTING NOTE
Lifted varietal aromas of red currant, summer berries and cranberry combine with bright violet perfume and subtle spice. Medium to full-bodied with bright fruits, red plum, blackcurrant, and cherry balanced with oak spice and a hint of dried herbs. Lengthy tannins and a fine acid line give structure and length to the palate yielding a wine that can be enjoyed in its youth but will also develop beautifully with time.

Decanting: Not necessary for decanting.

Food Pairing:
Pairs well with red meats, such as beef, lamb, and game. It also can pair well with hard and aged cheeses.

The principle behind our First Cut series revolves around the wine-making term ‘first cut’ in which during the pressing cycle the softer free-run juice is separated from the second cut or pressings. This principle flows through to the style of First Cut wines, producing well-structured wines with great drinkability.
