We have been waiting patiently and passionately for a number of years for a rare batch of malt whisky distilled at Laphroaig distillery to reach 21 years of age. This parcel forms the core of the Islay Mist blend giving it its unique Islay character and yielding a batch of just 2160 bottles. In fact, this is the oldest and rarest Islay Mist ever bottled.

TASTING NOTE
NOSE
An unmistakable, yet gentle Islay smokiness. As if stepping into an old seaside warehouse breathing in the low-hanging whisky mist with its mature oaky scents and gentle peat smoke.

PALATE
A complex fusion of sweet malt and mellow oak maturity dancing across the tongue while mingling with peppery smokiness. The peppery smoke begins very subtly only to gain in force, roll across the tongue and grab a powerful foothold before gently drifting in the background.

FINISH
A warming well-lasting spicy sensation. True Islay elegance.
