TASTING NOTE
L’Enclos 2020 has a deep and intense color with purple tints. It offers intense black fruit aromas and blackberry that mingle with subtle spicy notes. The attack is fresh and intense, with an elegant and delicate structure. A greedy black fruit taste dominates and gives a beautiful balance, between sweetness and vivacity. Very typical of our terroir.

Decanting: Recommended for at least 1 hour 30 minutes.

Service temperature: 15°C

Food Pairing:
Pairs well with grilled meat and French cheeses.

Chinese Food: Steamed lobster with garlic and ginger.
Japanese Food: Sushi (fuller-bodied seafood) shellfish and shrimp served with Soyu and Wasabi.
Korean Food: Banchan (Different side dishes).

RED WINE

“The Enclos”cuvee comes from a plot selection of Domaines Edmond de Rothschild in Puisseguin Saint-Emilion. This vineyard was acquired in the 2000s by Benjamin (Edmond’s son) after more than a century of family history linked to the wine world. With an ideal South facing, this excellent chalky-clay terroir allows the Merlot (70% of the blend) to express itself fully and gives the wine its aromatic complexity, its suppleness, and its roundness in the mouth.

Grape: 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon

Aging: Aging 12 months for 60% in second-fill barrels, rest in tanks.
