When renowned artist and illustrator Christoph Niemann visited Maison Martell in Cognac, he came away amazed by the complex savoir-faire involved in crafting cognac. In particular, he was fascinated by the fact that every glass of Martell Cordon Bleu contains over 100 different eaux-de-vie, each one crucial to recreating its legendary taste, which has remained unchanged since 1912.

For the Iconic Drops limited edition, he conveys his impressions through a striking design made up of dozens of drops – symbolizing the eaux-de-vie – gradually transforming into the shape of a glass.

TASTING NOTE
Deep, golden copper. Vibrant, rich, and complex, with orchard fruit – candied plum and apple – harmonizing with roasted notes of mocha coffee, toasted almonds and vetiver. An exceptionally rounded, mellow sensation further enhanced by Borderies eaux-de-vie, which lends elegance and complexity. An impressively long finish characterized by notes of fruit and spices.
