TASTING NOTE
Black-purple and deep. On the nose, it has dark Barossa chocolate, liqueur chocolate, and dark plums. Spice, lavender, rosemary, and sage. Heightened aromatics of fruit and herbs combine with a gentle bouquet of oak vanilla to jump up, and out of the glass. Integration.
Entry of palate has inky and intense as if there are rude handfuls of ripe Barossa shiraz grapes in every glass. In the middle palate, this is also a well-structured wine, which brings discipline to the underlying fruit vivacity.
For the finishing, the palate length is long, with a savory and pleasantly peppery finish. The aftertaste is of dense blackberry and forest fruits. It rolls and rolls, but never becomes overwhelming. Bright and fresh to drink.

Sister’s Run is serious fun. Our talented young winemaker Elena wears steel cap work
boots every day of course, but carries a pair of high heels in the back of the ute, only for
emergencies, like last-minute invitations to accept trophies at gala wine show dinners and
the like. Returning from a ‘knees-up’ at midnight, mid-vintage, she managed to kick off one high heel and slip back into a boot’ just as the cellar crew cried out, ‘Run Sister Run’; and
exactly then our winemaker and label took flight!
